REVENGE IS SWEET FOR DYKE

LAST LAUGH: For Greg Dyke

Thursday October 15,2009

GREG DYKE, the former BBC director general who left under a cloud, is rather enjoying the plight of MPs who are being told to repay money they claimed in the parliamentary expenses scandal.

“I don’t spend enough time thinking about the way I was treated to feel aggrieved about it,” says 62-year-old Greg, who resigned from the Beeb following the criticisms of the corporation’s news reporting in the Hutton Inquiry in Management Today. “That said, if the opportunity ever came for revenge against a few people I would take it.

“And every so often it does.

“I was delighted to see that Tory MP Douglas Hogg is to step down after billing the public for having his moat cleared out.

“His wife, Sarah Hogg, was one of the leaders against me on the board at the BBC so I’m pleased to see that they got their comeuppance.”
